Thoughts on Worship

I found this piece in one of my old journals and decided to share it.

When you draw close to God,
the music becomes a communication between you and God.
It is no longer just pretty music.
Worship becaomes a connection between you and your Maker.
This where you are meant to live.
When you are in this place with all your heart, nothing else matters.

” One of the scribes came near and heard them disputing with one another,
and seeing that he answered them well, he asked Him, ‘Which commandment is the first of all?’
Jesus answered, “The first is, ‘Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one;
you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”’ Mark 12:28 & 31 NRSV

  2. Mom says:

    Wonderful Beth Ivory. You are a child after my own heart. Always cling to God and you will have the love and support that you need in this life. Friends are fine and someday your spouse will be there, but there is no love like the love of Christ. MaMa
